At the time of writing, there is still no news on the start date for the Hampden Road upgrade. I think it is safe to assume that Artarmon Village is very low on the list of priorities for Willoughby City Council and/or the state government.

We were very excited to receive a Smarty Grant from Willoughby City Council in December 2022 to create an Artarmon Village Inc website that will highlight the character of our village and become a go-to site for information on local road works and events. So far 2023 feels like we have emerged triumphant from the pandemic. The businesses in Artarmon cannot thank the community enough for your support over the past few years.

The Hampden Road streetscape upgrade will eventually start, with Willoughby City Council’s late consultation with us showing little-to-no regard for our opinion. With local road work and construction for 12 months we will need your support again to remain viable – so thank you again in advance!
